Where Faith Meets Football

Empowering young Muslims through sport, character, and discipline.

Who We Are

Just a little bit about myself — my name is Monju Ahmed. I am a former ex-professional footballer and School of Excellence Academy graduate. Having played and graduated through Premier League Academy systems and being involved in grassroots football for over 20 years now both in the UK & the Middle East, I am delighted to start this Academy to allow our children to flourish, develop & excel with high-level coaching and at the same time always keeping the focus and environment based on our Islamic values and etiquettes. We look forward to having your son or daughter on this exciting journey with us, inshaAllah.

The Deen Squad Academy Coaching Team

Our Coaching Excellence

Our coaches have obtained their UEFA B & FA Coaching Qualifications whilst still remaining active as footballers themselves on the Semi-Professional non league scene. This combination means they are in a great position to pass on their footballing expertise to the Academy kids to help them nurture, develop, progress & grow, not only as footballers but as leaders.

The weekly focus is to plan and execute detailed age appropriate session plans focusing on a specific topic. Players are then set home practice by the coaches to help them enhance their skills even further. This we feel is a winning combination!

Frequently Asked Questions

What should my child wear?

White t-shirt (supplied when you register), black shorts, black football socks, and football boots.

Can we try a session first?

Yes, you can pay for a session (£5). If you enjoy it (which we're sure you will!), you can pay the registration fee after that.

Is it fun or competitive?

A mix. The coaches push the children to improve and each week there are specific areas that they focus on (i.e. dribbling). The aim is to make it fun, engaging and also challenge your child to improve as they learn.
